Why was the Lego Ad Break was so successful in promoting the movie?

The reason for The Lego Ad break being so successful is because of the adverts being mentioned and brought up everywhere since it is 100% Lego which everyone knows and loves. Also, these adverts that would regularly occur were not just random Lego adverts; they would start with "The Lego Movie" in big, bold Lego writing and then they would be adverts that would originally appear on TV but all of the characters and the scenery etc were made of Lego. 

5 ways Media Language was used in the poster campaign to appeal to a family audience:

-Star marketing (Chris Pratt, Morgan Freeman, Will Ferrell). 

-Intertextual links to other franchises (Batman, Superman, Green Lantern)

-They made the posters so that Lego was everywhere you looked so children couldn't take their eyes off of the poster. 

-Interesting and unusual representations

-Large font to catch the eye 

5 ways Media Language was used in the trailer to appeal to a family audience:

-Non-diegetic sounds (music)

-Diegetic sounds (characters talking)

-Action

In The Lego Movie, gender in the front covers is shown as equal because there are male characters such as  Batman who are strong and powerful and on the other hand, there is powerful and strong female characters such as Wyldstyle and Unikitty.
