Magazine Brief
Thursday 12th November
L/O: Explore the parameters of a given brief and design elements of a magazine.
The use of typography for the title is fun, suitable for children, colourful and exciting. All the straplines use different colours to make it stick out and attract kids to want to get it. Also, the main title has a white glow around the outside of the word which pops out. The start of all the straplines use bold text to grab more attention which help catch the target audience.
Another thing to get to the target audience is the illustrator of the front cover put a bird as the teacher which may be funny to kids. Furthermore, the magazine has made the earth alive and has a thermometer which could show it is a magazine involving global warming.
The firs thing that springs to mind when i see this magazine is the bold title with a bright green that will draw your attention to it. Also, it has free Pokémon cards with the magazine which may interest children even more to buy the magazine which is the way they make their money. Furthermore with the idea of attracting children to the magazine, it has a strapline in light green which is very vibrant which will also draw children's attention to it. It also has christmas quizzes which will make children want it and it also has stuff about animals and prizes you can win through the magazine. Finally, the magazine includes cute animals which will make children want to buy the magazine because what young kid would not want to see more cute animals?

L/O: To explore ideas and concepts to develop a magazine article.
What makes a good article?
-Big heading
-Has to be interesting/Theme/Target audience (10-13y/o)
-Good story/About things people of the target audiences age enjoys (playstation, football, TV etc.)
-Middle (the main story)/Start (something to hook the reader into wanting to read more)/End (good conclusion which would make them want to buy future magazines)
At the start of a magazine, you should put interesting things such as things your target audience likes such as playstation for a wide range of people, cartoons on TV (1-8), football (12-any age), etc. In the middle of the article, you will need the most interesting part to go there so people don't decide to stop reading and instead enjoy reading on and feel like they can't put the article down. Finally, you will most likely want a cool conclusion so the audience buys future articles that have something to do with the one they enjoyed the first time they read one.
Diego Maradona (full name Diego Armando Maradona) was an Argentinian footballer who was born on the 30th of October 1960 and sadly passed away on the 25th of November 2020. As time went by, he became more and more of a hero to the sport and was known by everyone and also by many people who never watch football.
Maradona was only 16 when he made his international debut for Argentina against Hungary on the 27th of February 1977 which Argentina won 5-1 (he also played for the Argentinos juniors when he was only 15). Maradona made his adults club debut for Barcelona where he won the Copa Del Ray beating Real Madrid, the Spanish league with Barcelona and also won the Spanish Super Cup beating Athletico Bilbao winning both in the 82/83 season. Diego Maradona has proved himself to be one of the greatest to play the sport in La Liga (Spanish league) playing at Barcelona and Sevilla but he has also proved himself in Serie A (Italian league) for Napoli where he won the league and the Coppa Italia in the 86/87 season, the UEFA Cup in the 88/89 season and the league again in the 89/90 season
But with his International team Argentina, he won the 86' world cup in Mexico where in the semi-final he handballed the ball which the referee thought was a header and was famously known as the 'hand of god' to make it 1-1 in the semi-final. Moments after that, he made a famous dribble down the pitch where he ripped through the English defence and went to score and sent Argentina through to the 86' World Cup final.
In the final, Argentina beat the strong West Germany 3-2 with Jose Luis Brown, Jorge Valdano and Jorge Burruchaga scoring. Since Maradona was the Argentinian captain that day, he had the honour of lifting the World Cup for the first time in his professional career.
Continuing from the 86' World Cup, Maradona was involved in 10 goals scoring 5 and gaining 5 assists which shows he was a very good player because he could score and assist which is very important to have both of those skills.
In conclusion, I think this article shows that Maradona was a legend of the sport and was also known by many as one of the best players to play the sport and his legacy will live forever.
