Lights! Camera! Action! L/O: To explore the use of sounds in films Describe the sort of music you would expect to hear in the following types of films 1. Horror films   Usually no singing just creepy noises 2. An action film     Intense and loud music 3. A thriller     Eery but confusing in a weird way 4. A comedy film      Stupid music that doesn't sound right 5. A science-fiction film     Creepy and no singing just eery noises Diegetic noises: -Song in the restaurant  -People talking -People coming into the restaurant  Non-diegetic: -The music before they go into the restaurant which isn't actually playing Is there any moments of silence in the scene you chose? Yes. When the men eat the chillies they start screaming but then it goes completely silent.

An isolated house in a rural setting for a horror setting To scare the viewers which is what the directors want from a horror film 2. A big city for an action film So there is loads of room for the hero and villain to fight  3. A small seaside town for a romantic comedy  So the characters have a beach all to themselves. 4. A range of different countries for an action adventure film So the characters could go explore the world and look for treasure  5. A large modern science laboratory for a science-fiction film So there could be a experiment gone wrong Colour Why might a director use the following colours? 1.
